Disarmament of a swordsman

Artist was active during the Meiji era. Together with Tsukioka Yoshitoshi und Kobayashi Kiyochika, he belonged to the "Tree Outstanding Artists" of their style at the end of the 19th century.
The print shows an injured samurai who is controlling the opponent's sword trying to disarm him.

Format: 24,5 x 36 cm (Oban).
Year of publication: Around 1865.
Singature: Kunichika ga

Condition: Unfortunately, the sheet has some mould spots in the middle (see detailed photos).
